MSM was invited to film a few bands at Bourbon Street in Baltimore, MD last weekend. One of those bands was Toubab Krewe. We had actually never had the chance to see these guys, but we had heard A LOT of great things about them. The truth is that…. THEY ARE PHENOMENAL!!!
From the Toubab Krewe Website:
Some music cannot be found on a map or within iTunes categories. Some music is so original it seems snatched from the great, invisible substrata that runs below all human activity, a sound aching to be born without a flag or fixed allegiance – free, questing, overflowing with immediate, tangible life. This is the music of Toubab Krewe, the vibrant Asheville, NC-based instrumental powerhouse that creates a sonic Pangaea.
Check out this video of Toubab Krewe and stay posted fore more from this show.
While we were at the show we ran into a film producer by the name of Noel.. He had said that he is working on a documentary w/ Toubab Krewe and their travels. So when I got home, I had to Google up 2Bk and see if there are any videos.
We stumbled upon this video: http://vimeo.com/16575546
